Welcome to Kinze Manufacturing
Integrity, innovation, excellence, customer focus and mutual respect. These are the core values upon which Jon Kinzenbaw built his company. And they are the values that continue to guide us to this day.
Meet Jon Kinzenbaw, President and CEO
In 1965, a 21-year old farm boy from Victor, Iowa opened his own welding shop with a small bank loan and $25 in his pocket. Everyone who knew young Jon Kinzenbaw at the time could see that he had a gifted ability for “fixing things.” But no one could have guessed that his welding shop would one day grow into one of the largest specialty manufacturers in North America. Today, Jon is still actively involved in the business. He also continues to farm in addition to enjoying his hobby as an avid antique tractor collector.
Meet Susanne (Kinzenbaw) Veatch, Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer
Susanne (Kinzenbaw) Veatch is the daughter of Jon and Marcia Kinzenbaw, and represents the second generation of the family business. She works closely with senior leadership and oversees the day to day business operations and the marketing team. Susanne graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Business. Prior to coming to work at Kinze in 2005, she worked for Caterpillar as a Systems Analyst.
“Growing up, I spent countless hours in the office, proto shop and in the field with my Dad. I watched him invest his heart, mind and energy into Kinze. His creative mind was always looking for the next innovative planting or harvesting solution. That creativity even showed in the toys he built for my brother and me. My parents instilled many values into both of us, including strong Christian values, integrity, generosity, work ethic, finishing what we start, and keeping our word.
We are very fortunate to have many wonderful employees and dealers without whom we couldn’t conduct our business. I am very passionate about our company, our people and my responsibilities. It is an exciting time to be an agricultural equipment manufacturer. Our company continues to experience strong, sustainable growth, both domestically and globally.
I am committed to keeping Kinze in our family and to grow the business based on the same values that have been with us from the very beginning. These core values are not just words on paper; they are the very essence of everything we do; they define our culture. Integrity is absolutely critical in all business operations. We will walk away from business if integrity is compromised. Our customers are the reason we are in business. Our products must be innovative, reliable, durable, and exceed the grower’s expectations. We are proud to put our family name on our equipment and to build high quality, durable products that are made in America. We understand the needs of growers because we are growers ourselves. We know firsthand why the planter is the most important piece of equipment on a row crop farm. There is a very narrow window of time to get the crop in the ground. If the planter is inoperable during planting, it is more than a mere inconvenience; it impacts the grower’s very livelihood. American farmers help to feed the world and we are very privileged to be a part of this awesome responsibility.” (Susanne Veatch)
