How to Map a Field for Multi-Hybrid Planting

The Kinze 4900 Multi-Hybrid Planter is the world’s first electric drive planter that automatically switches between two different hybrids as you cross soil zones to optimize yield.

Field mapping plays a big role in multi-hybrid planting. To be able to create maps for your field, desktop software is required. Common programs include:

  • SMS Advanced™
  • SST Summit®
  • AgStudio PRO
  • Farm Works™

Step 2: Create a management zone

Step 3: Select areas to plant different hybrids or rates

Step 4: Input variable hybrid or rate data
