  • This is where the difference between EdgeVac® and ordinary metering systems begins: with a unique “edge drop” design that allows each seed to release into the center of the seed tube, minimizing the tumbling action or ricochet effect inside the seed tube — particularly when planting on side hills.

EdgeVac® Planter-Ready Models

One 20" diameter vacuum fan handles up to 16 rows of corn or 32 rows of soybeans. Approximate hydraulic requirement is 13 GPM @ 2000 PSI.

One SCV outlet and one low-pressure case drain connection are required to operate the system. The 3700 and 3800 models are equipped with two fans and a standard-equipment PTO pump system with oil reservoirs, coolers and filters. PTO pump packages are also available as options for other models.

Cab-installed electronic gauges and planter-mounted analog gauges give you confidence vacuum levels are set correctly.

EdgeVac vacuum seed metering is available on all Kinze planters except the 3000.

Color-coded seed discs are molded from the latest engineering-grade urethanes; they’re also long-lasting and resist seed treatment buildup.

Custom-designed seed cells assist seed fill by effectively agitating the seed to improve performance.

Larger 10½"-diameter discs accommodate extra seed cells around the perimeter of the disc, reducing the RPM of the meter for consistent seed cell fill.
