Built on Kinze’s 60-year history of building innovative, durable, and easily maintained equipment, these doors were initially designed and manufactured out of the need for large doors at Kinze Manufacturing in the 1980s. Since then, numerous doors have been built for production facilities, machine sheds, and aircraft hangars – continuously improved with over 40 years of research, development, and practical use.

Offset-pivots require less lateral cylinder movement, provide greater stability, and are equipped with maintenance-free bearings
Free-standing design is independent of the building
Door frame is capable of supporting roof trusses
Wind loads are transferred to the door frame
Operates and can remain open in high winds
Stops at any position without drifting
Powder coat paint is standard
Builder installs exterior skin to match exterior of building
Builder installs insulation and as much or little insulation can be added as needed, including spray foam insulation

Door opens slightly less than 90 degrees, so water runs off and not into the building

Frame and door are precision bolted and welded on-site
Kinze-made, durable hydraulic cylinders have easily serviced and available components
Exterior overhang is less than a conventional hinged hydraulic door
Heavy-duty weather strip gaskets keep the weather out
Exterior and interior surfaces are ready for custom finished surfaces
Door packages include door, frame, cylinders, pump, hoses, and controls
Overhead routing channel protects the hydraulic hoses
In event of power loss, a small tractor can be hooked to hydraulics to raise and lower door
Cylinders push up to break contact so door can’t freeze down in icy conditions
